Happiness does not always occur randomly. You may have a lot more control over the emotions that promote happiness than what you think. You can plan for events that promote happiness. I will illustrate this by way of an example: Jack takes his dogs for a walk on the beach.
The dogs run around and seem to be having fun.
Jack enjoys the experience of being with his dogs on the beach.
Jack feels a number of positive emotions that contribute to his happiness.
Jack feels:
Joyful -
Engaged -
Energetic, and Peaceful. - Jack likes the experience of these feelings as they contribute to his state of happiness. Jack recognizes that these feelings are under his control. Jack decides that he would like to repeat this experience so that he can feel these emotions again. Jack uses this event to create a plan. He decides to schedule a weekly event to take his dogs to the beach. He expects that he will feel similar emotions the next time he experiences this event. By creating a plan, you make a conscious effort to be happy. You do not leave your happiness to chance only. You learn to influence your happiness. Our program has the facility to examine your emotions, identify events and make happiness plans.
