In this video we are going to answer the question: "What is an emotion?" An emotion is something that you feel. A feeling can be divided into two categories. The physical. For example, through the skin when we touch something. Or a mental feeling that is an internal experience in the body and in the mind. We refer to your internal feelings as your emotions.
Typical emotions are:
The feeling of joy, The feeling of hope. The feeling of hate, or The feeling of grief. Emotions differ from person to person.
You will have your own unique interpretation of an emotion.
Emotions can be broadly separated into two groups:
Pleasant emotions, which promotes happiness.
And unpleasant emotions, which promotes sadness.
It is you, as an individual person, who decides whether you classify an emotion as contributing to happiness.
Or sadness. Gaining an understanding of your emotions is essential to gaining further control over your happiness. Emotions give meaning to our existence.
Emotions help us decide what makes life worth living
and sometimes worth ending. Emotions are the building blocks of happiness.
Understanding your emotions can significantly help to change your state of happiness.
